The genius in Evan's Kitchen is award-winning Chef Evan Elsberry with the primary assistance of his nephew, chef Tom Feltenberger. Other employees include members of two other families, making Evan's Kitchen truly family operated.Evan is cooking career began in 1981 under the tutelage of popular Sacramento Italian chef Frank Parisi who taught Evan the importance of always using the best ingredients and providing a first-rate product. Chef Evan has always followed his advice. Chef Evan is known in East Sacramento for his fabulous Wine Dinners, and his volunteer efforts in local fund-raisers. Many Sacramentans know him also from his frequent appearances on local television as featured chef and his California State Fair competitions. After taking second place at the 2003 California State Fair Professional Chef Challenge, Chef Evan moved up to first place in 2004.
