Ethel and Ramone's Restaurant is a locally owned and operated establishment. Started in 1993 by Jeff Berkow as small coffee and tea room, Ethel and Ramone’s has steadily grown and evolved through the years. Probably the most significant growth came in 1999 when Chef and Owner Ed Bloom joined the team. With his background in Cajun/Creole cuisine, not to mention his love of fine and local foods, Chef Ed Bloom helped Jeff put E & R’s on Baltimore’s culinary map. Over the years, Chef Ed has developed the Maryland Creole Cuisine, combining local ingredients with New Orleans flavors. Together with a small and dedicated staff, Ed and Jeff work hard everyday to turn out honest Cajun fare.
