The Butuyan Family immigrated from Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines in 1969 to the Island of Oahu. The Sugar Plantation town of Waipahu, Hawaii is where Elena's Home of Finest Filipino opened its doors for business. Under the entrepreneurship of Elena and Theo Butuyan, Elena’s Restaurant in Waipahu expanded its operations to 3 lunch trucks, Caterings, Expos and Craft fairs.
