Owner and chef David Ventura has been serving the Petworth community for over 10 years. Mr.ventura began his career as a chef in 1977 when he immigrated from el salvador to the nations capitol. While working as a head chef for some of the most well respected restaurants he decided he wanted to bring some authentic latin flavors to the Petworth area. In 2000 the Ventura Family opened El Cuscatleco carry out serving just a few items on the menu, and with hard work and success in 2005 they converted El Cuscatleco into El Torogoz Restaurant. In 2010 they added Pollo a la Brasa to their menu, serving fresh chicken cooked over a bed of Charcoal daily. Come be a part of the El Torogoz family, where family is everything.
