$100; Duration: 3 hours. Just because the sun has gone bye-bye doesn't mean you need to take the party inland! Say hello to one of Hawaii's most celebrated, after-dark activities: night swimming! You'll head out into the calm waters of Kealakekua Bay, put on snorkeling gear, and take the plunge into delightfully refreshing ocean waters. Night on the bay also happens to be the ideal time to check out one of the ocean's most graceful creatures, the manta ray. Manta rays use the early evening hours to feed (on plankton, not humans). You'll use underwater flashlights to watch them perform in-the-water acrobatics and draw them close with plankton for them to nibble on! See? Daytime isn't the only time to catch some rays in Hawaii!
Embark on your adventure for an early evening ocean swim
Observe manta rays both from the boat and underwater with snorkel gear
Watch a dazzling sunset over the ocean waters
Fuel the fun with ceviche, fish dip, and other snacks
Note: Snorkel gear is available for a small fee, or bring your own!
