Cayce Cleanse
Abdominal Castor Oil Pack with Foot Reflexology, Colon Hydrotherapy, Steam/Fume Bath, Facial and Massage. The Cayce Cleanse is a wonderfully restorative cleanse as well as a tonic for the whole body. The castor oil pack is the Cayce-recommended way to remove toxins from the liver and ascending colon, and reflexology gently stimulates organs, bone, and muscle. Next, your colonic works to cleanse the large intestine, followed by the steam/fume bath to help you detoxify through the skin, your body's largest organ of elimination. Your therapist will guide you in selecting from our essential oils to add a healthful aroma to your steam. That's all, just relax. Sit or recline on one of the many benches and listen to the whispering water oaks and bamboo, the gurgle of cascading water, and the splash of koi in the poolswhich also beckons the occasional Great Heron! Oneness with nature can bring great tranquility, restorative to body, mind and spirit.
Try the Reflexology Walk, located on the north side of the Labyrinth.
With about 27,000 nerve endings on the bottoms of your feet, stimulating them can have a powerful therapeutic effect! Directions for use are posted at the site.
Head to the Ocean across the street from the Spa.
Walk, lie in the sand, collect shells, or do your own fullbody sand pack (pick up a "how-to" sheet in the Spa). According to Edgar Cayce, the sand in Virginia Beach is unique in its balance of gold and radium content. It's not enough to fill your pockets with gold, but you may find a sand pack here is gold for your nervous system!

Massage
Massage can be both stimulating and relaxing. It affects nerves, organs, glands, circulation, and muscles, and helps the body rid itself of toxins. Cayce/ Reilly massage offers a blend of Swedish, osteopathic, and neuropathic massage techniques. For deeper relaxation, hydrocollator heat packs or violet ray application are available at no additional charge.

Foot Reflexology
Foot reflexology is the study and practice of gently pressing reflex points on the feet with specific hand and finger techniques, to relax corresponding parts of the body. The body can then return to a state of equilibrium, or homeostasis, where circulation flows unimpeded and organs function normally.
Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD®) is the therapeutic application of a series of refined, slow, rhythmical manual movements, which produces a calm, relaxed state, promoting the flow of lymph fluid. MLD® drains excess fluid from the tissues and also has a detoxifying effect. A healthy lymphatic system removes waste products from the connective tissue efficiently, balances the nervous system, relieves congestion, and promotes a healthy immune system.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and focused concentration in which one can act upon suggestions for behavioral change. Castor Oil Packs
Edgar Cayce recommended abdominal castor oil packs as a home remedy for all types of problems involving lymphatic flow, including: Inflammation; Congestion; Constipation; Liver, kidney, and pelvic disorders. After your appointment, retain your pack for six months or more for additional home use.
Colon Hydrotherapy
A colonic is an internal bath, using a professionally designed machine to cleanse the colon. The application is a safe, gentle infusion of warm filtered water, which circulates throughout the large intestine, dissolving and removing waste products, while the client lies comfortably on a table. Water temperature and pressure are closely monitored and regulated during a series of fills and releases. A hospital gown ensures complete coverage for modesty and warmth. As the method is an enclosed system, the waste materials are removed without the unpleasant odors or discomfort usually associated with enemas.
Acupressure
Acupressure provides a bridge between ancient and modern energy therapies, using gentle, direct finger pressure on acupuncture points. Acupressure: Releases stress and tension, Reduces pain and discomfort, Balances mind and body energies.
Craniosacral Therapy
The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Clients lie fully clothed on the massage table while the therapist lightly palpates the head, neck, sacrum, and legsaffecting the craniosacral pulse throughout the body. This often results in a decrease in pain, an increase in motion, and a heightened sense of well-being.
Facial
According to Cayce, facials are helpful not only in relieving clogged pores and skin blemishes, but in preventing sagging facial muscles. Our facial procedure includes hot towels, cleansing, clay mask, toning, moisturizing, and misting. While the mask is drying, your feet are gently massaged.
Steam/fume bath
Steam/fume baths were recommended to increase eliminations through the skin and lungs. An essential oil or other substance is added to the steam. It vaporizes, then settles on the skin to be absorbed through the pores. Having a steam before a massage helps relax muscles and aids in absorption of the massage oils. To be avoided if you have high blood pressure or heart or kidney problems.
Breathwork - Conscious Breathing
a means to restore physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. Rather than advocating breath-control techniques, this approach aims at rediscovering the natural flow of the breath and liberating it from the tension that stress can impose. In practice, we can alter an emotional state as well as affect physiological changes in the body by consciously adopting specific modes of breathing!
