Located in an historic landmark that was (from 1922 thru 1989) the Los Angeles Fire Department's Station 56, Edendale was restored and converted to a restaurant and bar in 2002. From 2002 until June of 2010, it was known as The Edendale Grill and Mixville Bar. New owner Eddie Ebel( took over in July of 2010 and shortened the name to simply "Edendale", reflecting the traditional name of the neighborhood, which once spread from modern-day Los Fells across Silver Lake and into Echo Park, Though Edendale was already a neighborhood favorite for its beautiful bar, tasty cocktails and spacious patios, Ebell brought aboard General Manager/Restaurateur Stephen Blackehart (formerly of The Grand Havana Room (Beverly Hills), The Buffalo Club (Santa Monica) and Derek's Bistro (Pasadena)] to re-imagine the menu and reinvigo-rate the food and wine side of the business.
