Class Descriptions
Intermediate/Advanced Apparatus Class
Each apparatus class includes the use of uniquely designed apparatus in conjunction with the mat work. The apparatus use springs and supports, creating isometric resistance with the body's weight to massage, align, stretch, and strengthen muscles. This class is for those fluent in the Apparatus repertoire. Instructor approval is required.
Beginner Apparatus
Each apparatus class includes the use of uniquely designed apparatus in conjunction with the mat work. The apparatus use springs and supports, creating isometric resistance with the body's weight to massage, align, stretch, and strengthen muscles. This class is for those new to the apparatus or Pilates in general.
Air Control Pilates
Aerial Pilates involves practicing Pilates exercises in the air by suspending the body, or parts of the body in an aerial hammock. The hammock is suspended close to the ground at the height of the hips to the knees. Beginners practicing aerial Pilates start by practicing exercises on the floor with the assistance of the Pilates hammock, then gradually advance to exercises that require full body suspension. No Make-Up Permitted. No Jewelry Permited.
Morning Circuit Express
Work your way around the Pilates world! This fast-paced Pilates-based class is a strength-building journey through each apparatus, plus the Mat!...From Reformer to Tower to Chair, neither your mind or body will be bored. Be prepared to sweat! This class is for those with experience with the apparatus or Pilates in general.
Mindful Movements
Take a break from your busy schedule to relax your mind and body. This class combines restful and restorative stretching and gentle exercises to build a deeper mind-body connection. Whether you practice mindfulness daily or are new to the discipline, this 50 minute session will be the perfect reset and a great compliment to your current self-care regimen.

You're moving well and want to strengthen your bones. The Osteo Pilates Intermediate class is for you! This class combines mat and equipment exercises that are focused on building bone density and has been adapted for those with osteopenia and osteoporosis, or for those trying to strengthen their bones to prevent the onset of these conditions.

This class focuses on the Concentration and Breathing principles of Pilates - deepening the mind/body connection while gently working the body. The class is restorative in nature, therefore it's safe for ever body.

Dragonfly Pilates is pleased to be a host site for Balanced Body, an international teacher training organization of Pilates.
Balanced Body offers a full range of Pilates instructor certification programs.
Whether you are interested in teaching on equipment, the mat, or any of the many Pilates props, Balanced Body has the resources you need to succeed.
The Balanced Body Pilates Instructor training program is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers.
Our curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise. The program is designed in modules so you can take your first course now and continue your training next week, next month or next year. Each module is self contained so you can take them as quickly or as slowly as your schedule and budget allow. In addition to our instructor certification program, we offer a number of additional modules as well as workshops.

Policies
Walk-ins
Walk-ins are welcome; however, to guarantee your spot in class, please pre-register via phone or internet. No class will be reserved without pre-payment.
Scheduling Classes
Classes can only be reserved with an open and current package; a spot will not be held without "pre-payment." Packages can be purchased in studio or online at www.DragonflyPilates.com
Cancellation Policy
Dragonfly Pilates maintains a 12-hour cancellation policy. Clients canceling ANY session, including standing appointments, within 12 hours of class start time will be charged for the session. Classes must be cancelled either in person or via text message to 412.445.7137 to avoid charge. Packages
Packages expire 90 days after purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Introductory Packages are for new clients only.
Tardiness
Classes start and end on time. Arrive early to register and prepare for class. Classes are closed 15-minutes after start. Tardy participants will be charged for the entire class. No entry will be permitted once the class is closed.
Safety
To ensure the safety of our clients, Dragonfly Pilates reserves the right to refuse entry to a class that is beyond the participants' fitness level.
Dragonfly Pilates is a fully-integrated Pilates studio with locations in Pittsburgh and Murrysville. Our classes are designed to promote strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness to tone and energize the mind and body. We recognize that no two bodies are alike; all of the sessions at Dragonfly Pilates are customized so that every experience is personal. All of our instructors are certified, thereby guaranteeing our clients an in-depth, physically challenging and mentally stimulating Pilates experience with each lesson.
