In 2007 Red Kangaroo cut a hole in the wall, built a kitchen, and hired a chef. The result was award-winning Crocodile Potstickers, the first Barbeque Kangaroo in the Southwest (they are the largest importers of kangaroo in America!) and the name change to DownUnder.The result is an exotic combination of Australian-Asian Fusion food found nowhere else! This is not your outback steak restaurant — leave that for the timid and bereft of palate. The result is a neighborhood Aussie wine bar with an eye to the eclectic.
