The Process: The initial intake is one and one half hours. You will be asked a multitude of questions to determine what you desire. Cancellations, Missed Appointments, and Rescheduling Appointments Policy.
Clients will not be charged if the client cancels or reschedules twenty four (24) hours before the day of the appointment. For example, if the appointment is on Thursday at 4 p.m., in order not to be charged for an appointment, our office must be notified of the change no later than Wednesday at 4 p.m. Clients making cancellations, missing appointments or rescheduling on the day of the appointment will be charged (at the regular rate for the service) for the time scheduled for that day because we will be unable to utilize that time to schedule in another client upon such short notice. No Exceptions. This is done to ensure that our appointment times are being best utilized. If we are given enough advance notice, then we are able to schedule our clients efficiently. We thank you for your respect, courtesy, and understanding in this matter and look forward to serving you.
What is Pain?
Acute pain is a normal sensation triggered in the nervous system to alert you to possible injury and the need to take care of yourself. Chronic pain is different. Chronic pain persists.
Pain signals keep firing in the nervous system for weeks, months, maybe even years. There may have been an initial injury or event – surgery, sprained back, infection, or there may be an ongoing cause of pain caused by a disease. Health economists from Johns Hopkins University wrote (The Journal of Pain on September 11, 2012) the annual cost of chronic pain is as high as $635 billion a year, which is more than the yearly costs for cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Why is it sometimes (or most of the time) that we have to wait until we feel so uncomfortable in order to initiate the changes we desire?
Must You Continue To Suffer?
The answer is no. There are ways to manage pain using hypnosis. Stress and pain are intimately related. Pain causes stress and hypnosis may help break the cycle. Hypnosis focuses on the relationship between the mind and body and may be considered alternative or complementary. Regardless of how it is labeled, there is evidence that for many people who use it, works. Hypnosis may bring to mind nightclub acts where volunteers bark like a dog or sing like Dolly Pardon. This is not that. Hypnosis for pain management is an altered state of awareness where the conscious part of the brain is temporarily tuned out as the person focuses on relaxation and lets go of distracting thoughts. It's like using a magnifying glass to focus the rays of the sun, making them more powerful. When our minds are concentrated and focused, we are able to use them more powerfully. When hypnotized, a person may experience physiological changes, such as a slowing of the pulse and respiration, and an increase in alpha brain waves. The person may also become more open to specific suggestions and goals, such as reducing pain.

Findings indicate that hypnosis interventions consistently produce significant decreases in pain associated with a variety of chronic-pain problems. Also, hypnosis was generally found to be more effective than non-hypnotic interventions such as attention, physical therapy, and education.
In 1996, a panel of the National Institutes of Health found hypnosis to be effective in easing cancer pain.
An analysis of 18 studies by researchers at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York revealed moderate to large pain-relieving effects from hypnosis

Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the ever increasing demands of life.
