In February, 2005, a couple of friends and local Palm Springs resident Ogden (Denny) Edwards, met for dinner one night. Over the course of the evening, they casually discussed the lack of a nightlife scene in Palm Springs and decided that if no one else was attempting to create a new vibe, then maybe they should try and shake things up a bit. They wanted to create a new, hip hangout with great food, affordable prices and fantastic entertainment where people dressed in “resort classical style” and gathered with friends over lunch, dinner and drinks. The idea seemed simple, yet the end result would not be realized for the next several years.
Denny Edwards spent the next 5 months looking at available properties, most of which were tear downs or just not suitable for their vision.
