Scott Harris the force behind the Francesca's restaurants, including Francesca's on Chestnut, located upstairs is behind this small-plate, wine-focused restaurant. Offering a brick-walled, cave-like feel the name means "underground wine bar" in Italian, the intimate Gold Coast eatery serves Italian-themed bites. Menu offerings include more than a half-dozen types of bruschetta creative combos using pear and taleggio and prosciutto, porcini and fontina cheese plus olives and other antipasti. Although all guests are welcome, Harris hopes to cater to area restaurant/nightclub industry employees, and, as a result, Di Sotto's doors stay open until 1 a.m. on weeknights and 3 a.m. on weekends.
