Will the Eyelash Extensions damage my natural lashes?

No. Eyelash Extensions are applied with a premium quality adhesive that dries soft on lashes allowing Eyelash Extensions to stay flexible and bouncy just like natural lashes. When applied with the proper technique, Eyelash Extensions will not damage or cause your natural lashes to fall out.

How long do Eyelash Extensions last?

The long-lasting staying power of Eyelash Extension is the result of innovation in the Eyelash Extensions technology. First, the specifically formulated lash adhesive will provide a long-lasting bond onto your natural lashes. Is the application painful?

Absolutely not! The Eyelash Extension procedure is comfortable and relaxing. Most clients fall asleep during the session.

Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions?

You may find that it is unnecessary to use mascara with your new Eyelash Extensions (Non waterproof or water soluble). Never use mascara remover directly on your Eyelash Extensions, it will wear them down and cause premature fall off.

Maintain Your Eyelashes With Minimal Care

Do not use oily products, mascara remover, lash curlers, lash perms, or waterproof mascara on your lashes.

Natural skin oils, rubbing, scratching and pulling lashes will shorten the life of your extensions.

Your natural lashes have an approximate 100-day life span. When one falls out it is replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. A Re-Lash is recommended to maintain your new beautiful lashes.

How to Prepare for Your Eyelash Enhancement?

Please arrive at least ten minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to receive your full spa service.

Do

Shower prior to your appointment. Eliminating any unnecessary contact with water or steam within the first 48 hours will ensure that the bond between the semi-permanent lashes and your natural lashes has enough time till properly set. Remove your contacts. Your eyes will be closed during application of your eyelash extensions, to avoid any discomfort, it is always suggested that contacts are removed allowing eyes to be comfortable in a natural and rested state.

Don't

Wear makeup. Makeup products worn close to the eye will need to be removed prior to to be lash application process. Coming to your appointment with clean face will save time and eliminate the need for you lash stylist to remove your eye makeup. Apply face creams or sunblock to the eye area. The oils within many moisturizers and sunblock can prevent the eyelash glue from properly adhering to your natural lashes, dramatically reducing the longevity of your eyelash extension. Wear mascara. Lashes must be fresh and clean in order to be properly prepped to receive eyelash extension. No mascara!

Get That Perfect Tan on Your Skin: If you need tanning services, you're in a great place at Desert Zen Day Spa. We want to make sure that you receive the services you need and that you can feel great about yourself. Our tanning beds and spray tanning services will look natural.

Preparation for Airbrush Tanning

Be 15 minutes early to your appointment.

If possible, exfoliate before your treatment to remove dry, flaky skin that causes uneven tanning.

Dead skin cells absorb more color in some areas and prevent the application of color to the fresh skin beneath. For extremely dry skin we suggest using Sea Coral Salt Scrub a minimum of 24 hours before your session. This allows time for the oil in the scrub to be fully absorbed. The oil in the scrub blocks DHA penetration. DHA is the active ingredient, along with a cosmetic bronzer, that will produce your sunless tan.

Before spray tanning, your skin should be clean.

However, avoid high pH products like bar soaps that stop the DHA bronzing reaction. The day you tan, try an exfoliating body wash like Norvell's Amber Sun Moisturizing Body Scrub that can be used anytime before you tan.

Do not apply lotions or perfumes prior to tanning.

Use deodorant very sparingly. You should shave the day before you tan. Remove makeup and jewelry before the tanning process to avoid blocking the spray mist.

Wear loose fitting clothing. Tight clothes can rub off the DHA bronzer and smear the cosmetic bronzer.

Maintaining Your Tan

Immediately after your spray tanning session, avoid activities that may cause you to sweat excessively to avoid streaking the cosmetic bronzer.

Use the air conditioning in your car on a hot day. Remember, you have just been "painted" with a water soluble solution. Important: You must avoid water entirely for at least four hours or you will stop the tanning action of the DHA!

Wait at least 6-8 hours before showering or bathing with any kind of soap or shower gel.

We recommend Amber Sun Hydrating Shower Gel. The "instant color" cosmetic bronzer will wash off just as it is designed to do.

Chlorine is a bleach so avoid swimming in chlorine treated water for at least 24 hours after your session.

24 hours after tanning and daily thereafter apply Norvell's Pro Long Tan Extending Lotion to help maintain your skin's health and color while promoting even wear.

These products contain a light DHA bronzing boost to extend the life of your tan. Although it will not build a tan, it will help maintain it.
