Duration: 4.5 hours; Price: $179. Who needs Alaskan "reality" shows when you can experience the beauty of Alaska yourself? Take a 15 minute ride in the historic Flag Stop Hurricane Train from the Talkeetna townsite depot to Chase! When you reach your destination, you'll hike down to the area where the rafts will be readied for you so you can begin your trip down the mighty Susitna River. You'll observe the natural beauty of Alaskan wilderness as you float along the river. See ferns that drape the river's edge, some well over 8 feet tall. Make sure to keep an eye out for soaring eagles, jumping salmon, crossing moose, and even an occasional bear stalking fish along the river banks! Sounds like a lot! Not to worry, you'll have the opportunity to take a break for refueling on a nearby island. After lunch, you will continue on your journey throughout wilderness, floating down 12 more miles of the majestic Susitna River back to the town of Talkeetna. Shut off that TV and book the trip of a lifetime!

You'll take off from the historical village of Talkeetna, where you will begin your relaxing guided float tour on the Susitna River. You'll be able to take in breathtaking views of Mt. McKinley (Denali) -- weather permitting -- along with glacial valley vistas! Observe the fauna, flora, mountains and river silt beaches! You'll enjoy seeing present and past riverbank beaver activity, which will be evident as you ride through some of the most gorgeous wilderness that Alaska has to offer. Topping it all off? You'll pass by bald eagles resting in their creatively crafted nests, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled. It'll be a mountainous amount of fun!

Duration: 2 hours; Price: $75. Wondering what to do with your plain, vanilla day? Well, Alaska this, have you ever considered floating along the Talkeetna River, one of The Last Frontier's finest waterways? On this trip with Denali View Raft Adventures, you'll cruise down the swift yet serene Talkeetna River, enjoying the pristine, glacial-fed water. This portion of the river is good for all ages, so make sure to bring along a companion! You'll catch sights of Denali and the Talkeetna Mountains on your way -- and make sure to keep an eye out for jumping salmon! Flora and fauna drape the river's banks, and eagles nest in the treetops above. You will also experience incredible natural works of art as you pass dams made by resourceful beavers! There's no doubt about it...you're going to have a mountainous amount of fun!
