About Us
It's difficult to explain why a small "Dive Bar" in downtown Anchorage Alaska is the most popular bar in the State. There's no food except seasoned, free popcorn, no tap beer, only bottled beer (nearly 50 labels). No darts, pool tables or dance floor (too small). It does have the best Juke Box (CD's not internet) ever!
It's the most comfortable, friendly, pub type bar you'll ever walk into! Lots of bars claim that but at Darwin's Theory it's true. All the women bartenders are smiling and happy where, including the locals, "Laughter flows like water"!
The original “where everybody knows your name bar”! Darwin, the owner,
is the world’s biggest seller of Cinnamon Schnapps! This small, downtown
bar is a favorite “Tourist Trap” where the locals view the “Urban Wildlife”.
Be sure and visit the “Heavy Petting Zoo” in the backroom!
