About Us
Danny's Deli was founded in 1978, by George and Mary Georges. They turned an old ice cream parlor on the corner of East 17th and St. Clair Avenue into one of the most popular delis in Cleveland. The mission of the deli was to give generous portions of quality foods at a bargain price. "Danny’s" was named after George and Mary’s son-Daniel. After more than 30 years, they decided to keep it in the family and handed the majority of the responsibility to George’s younger brother, Tony, and his wife Sue. Danny brought the concept to Columbus for the second location, with his wife, Nicki in 2006. The traditions of hard work, treating the customers like family, and counting your blessings, keeps Danny's Deli in Cleveland and Columbus a favorite in two great downtown cities. And it has continued - Joe, Danny's uncle, took over the Columbus location of Danny's Deli.
