CrossFit is constantly varied, high intensity functional movement (functional movements are core to extremity i.e. movements that generate power from the hips). CrossFit is about GPP (general physical preparedness). If you were being chased, would you have the stamina to get away, or the strength to climb an obstacle quickly? The more muscle mass you have, the more resistant the body is to trauma. The stronger the cardiovascular and central nervous systems are, the easier we fight off stress and disease. We all owe it to our families, loved ones, and most importantly ourselves, to be stronger, faster and more durable.A typical class at our gym will consist of a dynamic warm-up, a multi joint barbell movement (squat, deadlift or press), a skill (a gymnastics movement or an Olympic lift), and a MetCon, followed by group stretching.
