Class Descriptions
Weight Loss Bootcamp
Weight Loss Bootcamp class is designed for those whose primary goal is weight loss. This workout consists of workouts similar to our CrossFit Bootcamp and intends to create a supportive, "no judgments" atmosphere. Appropriate for all fitness levels. The Weight Loss Bootcamp workouts are not much different from any other Bootcamp session, but we've found the members of this group appreciate working out side by side with other athletes of similar goals
Bootcamp Workout
Bootcamp Workouts are designed to give you a total body workout and improve your overall fitness level in the shortest time possible. Expect running and rowing, athletic drills, body weight exercises, plyometrics, kettlebells, sandbags and functional movements. Our Bootcamp program is suitable for all fitness levels. Beginner to advanced, athletes experience a challenging, functional, and fun workout every session. We pride ourselves on a no-frills, realistic approach to fitness where you'll be exposed to a variety of dynamic exercises
Community Workout
Our weekly Community Workout is open to our members and folks from the Downtown Durham neighborhood. All attendees should register for class prior to attending. Each week will feature a workout that combines elements from our regular CrossFit and Bootcamp workouts. As in all of our classes, workouts can be scaled to each athlete's individual abilities and skill level
Mobility
Mobility classes are designed to help you maintain natural function and harness your genetic potential. When athletes push themselves in specific, patterned ways, mobility and range of motion become limited over time. We will work towards achieving greater ease and more efficient effort in movement, creating space for increased athletic ability, and more comfort in day to day life. Classes are open to all CrossFit, Barbell, and Bootcamp members.
Rowing Class
Join former collegiate and national team rowing coach, Tom Keller. Each session will have a technical focus to help increase technical proficiency and efficiency on the machine while also offering a challenging cardio component. The goal of this class is to help participants be more effective on the rowing machine while also providing workouts that can slide into a training regiment to replace outdoor cardio activity in the cooler months.
CrossFit Durham is Durham's original CrossFit Affiliate and premier Strength and Conditioning Gym. Our workouts vary from day to day and are made up of weightlifting, gymnastics, running, plyometrics, kettlebells, sandbags and other functional movements. Our program is suitable for all fitness levels. Beginner to advanced athletes will experience a challenging, functional and fun workout every session.
