Crane Brewing Company is focused on three styles, Saison, Berliner Weiss and Lambic. No matter what styles, hybrids or experiments we pursue in the future, these styles will be at the heart of our efforts and output. We believe that these three styles are the foundations upon which we can place a variety of hops, wild yeast, souring bacteria, wood-aging, spices, fruit, and specialty malt. We see a desire for more beer of these styles, and we promise to challenge your expectation of what these styles can offer in relation to seasonality and flavor combinations. While we will distribute four standard versions of these styles year-round in 750 mL bottles and kegs, we will offer brewery-only special releases and one-off experimental batches throughout the year.

William Ray's blacksmith shop became a landmark in the lost township founded on the Santa Fe Trail. Just as a blacksmith forges metal, we forge new trails in brewing. Farmhouse IPA (6.8% ABV)
An American farmhouse-style ale brewed with the IPA lover in mind. Tea Weiss (4.1% ABV)

Orange Gose (4.1% ABV)
If you find yourself sailing on open water for an extended time you are going to need to ward off scurvy and thirst! This tangy gose infused with fresh orange zest will do both. Apricot Weiss (4.5% ABV)
You may be asking yourself why there is a flower on the label of an apricot beer. Well, the tree must blossom in order to fruit. Conversely, this beer blossoms when it is fruited. Grapefruit Gose (4.1% ABV)
Possibly the most rustic and obscure beer of Germany, the salty, sour gose of Leipzig needed an American touch. How about grapefruit zest? Kumquat Weiss (4.5% ABV)
Like origami, Bonsai is an ancient tradition of Japan that promotes careful contemplation. Gooseberry (4.5% ABV)
English folklore speaks of a fairy, the Gooseberry Wife, who takes the shape of a hairy caterpillar and guards the tart fruit from the greedy hands of children. The beer that made Michael Crane famous is an earthy, zinger that pairs great with food. Omar (6.0% ABV)
Named after our cat that passed way too soon, Omar is a take on the traditional english porter. The fruity esters compliments the notes of bitter chocolate, licorice, and a hint of caramel sweetness. Amber + Brett (6.8% ABV)
It started as innocent flirtation, but now it is totally serious. Amber and Brett are the hottest couple in craft beer, and everybody knows it. Amber was such a little-goody-two-shoes before but Brett is, like, this total rebel, who is always getting her into trouble. Farmhouse IPA with Brett (6.8% ABV)
We love the combination of juicy hops and the fruity esters and phenolics of Belgian yeast. Now we added Brettanomyces at the point of bottling to provide an extra layer of complexity and funk to our Farmhouse IPA. "Brett" is a formally wild yeast feared by brewers and vintners alike, but to some brewers Brett's earthy and tangy flavors are as familiar and inviting as an old friend's embrace. About Us
We are focusing our efforts on those wild and vibrant beers you all love so much. We want to bring you dry and rustic ales like those of Wallonia and the Senne Valley, fermented with your favorite little beasts in wood and steel after the style of the old country. In order to produce such wild and sour beers we will be harvesting yeast and propagating it in our in-house laboratory. We take traditional methods seriously, but we also have a few ideas of our own. Crane Brewing Company is an American brewery inspired equally by both the bold craft beers of home and the rustic ales of Europe. We hope to fulfill the desire of our local metro for these exotic beers, and we hope beer lovers from near and far join us in Raytown, MO for a taste sometime. We strive to build on this grand tradition that never stays the same for too long.
