About Us
Cowgirls Catering and Cakes, Inc. is co-owned and run by two women, Dina Miller and Suzi Kwon Centobie. We became friends while at the TDL Country Club. Those who know Dina, know she can really cook and bake with over 20 years of culinary experience! She perfected her baking skills while she was the Pastry Chef at the historic Blue Owl in Kimmswick where she worked for 8 years. Some of you may know her from when she ran The Cowgirl Café in Bismarck. Dina has cooked for doctors, patients and golfers in the kitchens of country clubs and hospitals in the area. While she was in the hospital setting of MARMC, she prepared meals to meet special dietary needs such as gluten-free, low-fat and vegan meals. Dina feels a diner should not only have a great meal but should walk away feeling they were treated with excellent service. Dina spends her free time on her family farm, the Walnut Springs Ranch, where she raises horses. On the flip side, I am an electrical engineer! I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and believe great food should be accompanied by great service! I have worked in several large companies including the Hewlett-Packard Company and Motorola. I spent the past 20 years in Business Development and Management Consulting working with the management teams of start-ups and small technology company in the Silicon Valley. Engineers can design ground-breaking electronic products but may not always have the best business minds! I enjoy cooking. I spend 3 years as a part-time evening chef's assistant in the Sur la Table cooking classes in California. My husband and I recently moved to Terre du Lac to be closer to my parents who have lived here for over 40 years. Dina and I want our clients to feel pampered and to have a positive even planning experience, from start to finish. Our goal is for every client to walk away happy and satisfied. Together, we promise to work hard to achieve this goal. We will train our staff to do the same. Our motto, "We vow to pamper both you and your taste buds."
The Cowgirl Cafe has been renamed California Cowgirls Cafe as there are now two cowgirls, in town; one all the way from the San Francisco Bay Area! The other, a true cowgirl with over 21 horses on a farm! The restaurant can be rented out for private parties and events beginning May 1st, 2016. Watch for our Special monthly California Cowgirls events, the last weekend of every month, beginning June 25, 2016. We have talked about a monthly Sunday Brunch, cooking classes and maybe a Farmer's Market with Cowgirls food! We even hope to host a rodeo!!
