While the tradition of good food, beautiful accommodations, and Southern hospitality will continue, several changes are already in the works, according to Jean Hartbarger. The interior spaces of the restaurant are receiving a face-lift and the parlor is being transformed into an English Tea Room. The front porches have been fitted with rocking chairs to allow our guests a relaxing place to hang out and enjoy the view. Back by popular demand, the Gift Shop has reopened and is offering specialty items for sale including décor pieces and artwork. While traditional favorites, such as chicken and dumplings and trout will still be served, a Bistro is being added with new menu items. The Bistro will be a separate entity within the inn with contemporary indoor/outdoor dining space featuring a lighter menu with pastas, salads, pastries, espresso and full service bar.
