Pottery Workshop
Duration: 2 hours; $72; When was the last time you threw clay? (Probably at Lisa from Mrs. Johnson's class in second grade.) Well, people have been throwing clay on the pottery wheel since around 4,500 B.C. Take part in this ancient tradition and learn the basics of pottery and the skills needed to use the potter's wheel. During this two hour hands-on workshop, you will be introduced to pottery fundamentals including centering, opening, flooring, throwing, and trimming. You'll certainly get your hands dirty, but it'll be worth it when you see the bowl or cylinder you've successfully made from scratch. Embrace the wheel and pottery's place in history.
