As with the myth of the Phoenix rising, Chicca (kika) is reborn from the ashes of L’Ulivo.
Not only is Chicca our daughter’s nickname but it also means “special little things” in Italian.
And this is the idea of Chicca, our special little restaurant filled with delicious and special little things.
Chicca’s menu is based on the idea of leaving out “unnecessary ingredients” rather than putting them in. Based on traditional Roman cuisine the ingredients are sourced mostly locally with sustainable farming practices in mind.
The menu will change seasonally and will include special dishes that are available for each day of week.
We will also serve a variety of Roman pastas. These pastas will be the kind that you would find in the typical Roman home.
These are dishes to be enjoyed simply with friends and family, for example, Spaghetti alla Carbonara or linguine Puttanesca and last but not least Rigaroni con Carciofi.
As our L’ulivo Pizza has been our signature dish for 15 years it will stay as it is.
