Origin of Thai Massage

Ancient Massage, or Thai Massage as it is commonly called today, is one of the world's oldest healing institutions.

It began in India and found its roots in medicine as part of an ascetically based religious movement, a portion of which became know as Buddhism

As Buddhism spread out from India, this healing medicine spread with it.

Early in its history it found its way to Southeast Asia and eventually to Thailand. For centuries, Thai monks performed the art of massage as one element of Thai medicine. The Thai people saw illness as an imbalance between the Body, the Mind, and the Spirit and often would seek help at the local temple and the rest, as we say, is history

Thai Massage Technique

Thai Massage is a technique used to give one a new life experience.

It works on the so called "energy lines" that run throughout the human body. As opposed to traditional Chinese medicine, which uses acupuncture to manipulate the pressure points, Thai Massage stimulates these points with a healing touch. As a result, these points endure less stress, allowing one's life energy to freely circulate throughout the body

I went to Chaba in such pain, I couldn't even walk. I have to say that it has been the best massage ever! From the moment you walk in they make you feel at ease, I felt very peaceful and very relaxed. By the end of the hour I felt so much better; I realized then, that I had to stop wasting my time and money going to these "Spas" that charge you an arm and a leg for mediocrity. It does help to be a bit flexible and if you have practice yoga, and know the benefits of such, you will not regret your experience. I have an excellent experience with Chaba. I've been getting physical therapy for a bulging disk in my back, that I didn't know I had for years. Then, over the last couple of years I've noticed a decline in my health. Finally, getting a proper diagnosis & then physical therapy, I knew I needed more help. I've never had a Thai Massage before hand. It's unlike any that you'll ever have. It truly is the best massage when done right as they stretch your body in ways you didn't think you body could move... all the while working on your body's tension through massage. I only had an hour long treatment and I've since learned that for a proper Thai Massage, you need 2 1/2 to 3 hours. So I plan on going back next week to prepare my body for a Half-Ironman Triathlon that I've been training for. This time I'll ask for a 3 hour treatment. Not only is the treatment wonderful... the ladies are all very kind and helpful. The prices by the hour are also much more affordable than other places that don't even give your body the amazing stretch of the Thai Massage. Stretching your body on a normal basis is critical to avoiding injury... so it makes perfect sense to combine it with massage! You really deserve to experience the Thai Massage. Sun (the business owner) is a wonderful lady and she will not disappoint you. Just remember to take your shoes off when you walk inside!

I just wanted to give you top marks in a great Thai Massage. I have had many massages in my life due to my sports background including Thai style which has been sorely missing from the OC Area. Well NO MORE! This place is very clean with a polite staff. Reasonably priced too. The masseuses really know the fine points of how and when to apply pressure - no rookies here! This is not some lame rub down but a REAL therapeutic session from people who know how to give a massage. Even my girl friend who had never had this style of massage was surprised at the effort/focus that was put into the sore spots by the staff. This is going to be a regular stop for me - no more driving up to Hollywood for a real Thai Massage!!!
