Letterpress II: Weekdays Section

This introductory class will teach five basic book structures, develop hand skills and familiarize you with binding tools and techniques. The comprehensive foundation will prepare you for your own explorations, for advanced courses, and will qualify you for renting workspace in our binderies.
Experimental Writing at the Press
Literalize poetry workshop dictums like "Make the stone stony" in a class that focuses on letterpress printing as a composition technique and a constraint for writing. Additional description forthcoming. No experience required.
Building Sculptural Books
In this workshop we will build dimensional books with understructures made from foam board, plaster, wire form meshes, and found objects. We'll layer and finish the pieces with paper, cloth, acrylic paint, text and images.
