People from all over visit Carolina Barbecue to relish in our finger-lickin' good ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. The food and service are good, and the prices are very reasonable! Mike and Janet Hicks purchased both restaurants in 2000 and with more than 50 years of restaurant experience between them, they thought "What the heck, let's give it a try!" The original Carolina Barbecue restaurant opened its doors around 1980 at Hearon Circle and the second location opened in 1983 on Blackstock Rd. Unfortunately Janet passed away in September 2010The secret to our juicy barbecue is in the vinegar-base and we hickory smoke it to juicy perfection. Our BBQ mimics the famous Lexington-style BBQ so popular in the South. While new dishes are added frequently, we haven't changed the famous old recipes that are still being served daily.
