Carmatillie Chocolates is a dedication of love to my mother Carmen, and her sister, my Aunt Tillie. Together they infused in me a passion for the culinary and baking arts as well as emphasizing the importance and allure of presentation. The culmination of this journey began with a wedding. Frustrated with mediocre catering menus, I was asked “Want to cater our wedding? You are such a great cook and could do so much better.” How do you say no to your sister? And so began my odyssey into the culinary and pastry arts. Through the years, my adventures always led back to pastry which was my passion and to chocolate which is my muse!
