This Italian steakhouse is of the Omaha Original steakhouses. The Venice was founded by Eli Caniglia in 1957 who with his four brothers started the first pizzeria in Omaha. From there, they turned the pizzeria into an Italian steakhouse. Eli brought his Sicilian recipes and a touch of Italy with an old town atmosphere to midtown Omaha. The Venice Inn serves Omaha’s finest choice of Steaks, Chops, and Prime Rib, specializing in Sicilian and Italian Dinners, along with fresh Seafood, Fish, Chicken dishes, and Pizzas. The restaurant now has outdoor seating on a beautiful deck setting. It seats a total of 450 and takes great pride in their intimate banquet rooms that seat 20 to 175 for all occasions. Prenuptials, business meetings, and family gatherings are all welcome at the Venice Inn.
