About Us
Cafe Mirabelle was created in 1991 and is currently one of the longest continuously owned restaurants on the Seacoast. Chef/Owner Stephan Mayeux, who was born and raised outside of Paris, France, has lived in the United States since 1986. Along with his wife, Christine, they have created a menu and atmosphere that is typical to many French countryside restaurants. Housed in the welcoming comfort of their two story 1890's home, Cafe Mirabelle provides the perfect dining environment for anyone who enjoys thoughtfully well prepared food and appreciates relaxed and friendly service.We are located in downtown Portsmouth, on the corner of Hanover and Bridge Streets, approximately three tenths of a mile off Market Street. There is a large public parking lot directly across from the restaurant.
