The Cadillac Café has been an innovative institution for Breakfast and Lunch on Portland’s NE Broadway dining scene for over twenty years. Owner’s Rod Brackenbury and Terry Hughes fulfilled a dream of theirs by starting The Cadillac Café in 1989. Brackenbury oversaw the kitchen end of the operation and Hughes was the front-end man. Quality, consistency, and exceptional service may seem like vintage ideals to some, but Brackenbury and Hughes made those ideals their driving principles. Their philosophy is to provide the guest with the warm comforting feeling of being entertained in a close friend’s home. And as strong as their business philosophy is on their guests, it is the same for their staff. They believe that without the hard work and dedication of their staff they would not have achieved the success that they have.
