Anna Hellvig has been in the restaurant business practically all her life. When she was a little girl in Hungary in the 1940's and 50's, her grandmother owned 5 different restaurants in and around Budapest. Everyday after school, while Anna's mother would be at work, she would go to stay with her grandmother in the main restaurant until her mother came and picked her up. Not only did she get her normal grade school education, but she also started her life long education in the wonderful art of cooking. Her education however was cut short by the communist regime that eventually forced the closing of all of her grandmother's restaurants.
