Lyons Computers can perform many different laptop repairs
including cosmetic repair, hard drive replacement, hinge repair or replacement, LCD screen replacement, charger socket repair.
Many small cracks can be repaired using epoxy and clamping force.
it all just depends upon the severity of the damage. In some cases, a replacement case, usually a used case, can be found and all the components can be transferred to the used case.
Laptop hard drive replacement starts at $175, including parts and labor.
Price will vary with the capacity of the hard drive.
Laptop screen replacement USUALLY runs $160 plus tax, including parts and labor.
To ensure the right screen is ordered, it is necessary to remove the current screen and find the model number of the screen itself. Most screens can be ordered from a in-state vendor.
Depending upon availability of replacement parts, sometimes broken or cracked cases or screen lids can be replaced.
Lyons Computers carries a number of replacement laptop chargers for $25 each.

We have factory restore CDs or DVDs for many different manufacturers, so we are able to provide a stable operating system restore.

Laptop Hard Drive Replacement
Hard drive failure is one of the most common problems with laptops.
If you have been able to create a set of recovery discs, these discs can be used to return your laptop to its original, out-of-the-box (brand-new) condition.
These discs will not only reinstall the operating system, but also will install the drivers for all the hardware, the original programs which were installed at the factory, and brings the laptop back to the state it was in when brand new.
If you did not create a set of recovery discs, all is not necessarily lost.
If you still have the Microsoft Windows Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on the system, the operating system can be re-installed using an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) operating system disc. That disc will prompt for the code on the COA sticker. If the right disc is used (the disc and the COA must match), the operating system can be loaded and activated. Laptop manufacturers will make available on their websites the drivers for the laptops they sell. So, the drivers can be downloaded and installed onto the laptop.
Recovery discs can be ordered from the manufacturer.
These discs will function the same as the ones you would have been able to create when the laptop was in working order.
Refurbished Systems
We have a limited stock of desktop and laptop computers
which have been through a refurbishing process such that the original owner's files have all been erased, and the operating system has been re-installed, so the computer has a fresh start.
It is best just to call to see what is available, as this stock is always limited.
Virus and Malware Removal
Virus and Malware (Malicious Software) removal is arguably the service we provide which has the most demand.
The first attempt at cleaning the computer consists of using at least five different utility programs to clean the system. A majority of the time, these utilities are successful. In some cases, the only recourse is to perform a system recovery. A system recovery is essentially a procedure which brings to computer to the same state it was in when it was new. After that, or if a system recovery cannot be performed, after a compete reinstall of the operating system has been performed, all the operating system updates need to be installed. Following that, an antivirus program is installed and if files were salvaged from the system, the files are restored.
Malware removal ranges from $75 to $125.

B.W. Lyons Guitars stocks strings and buys strings directly from Ernie Ball and D'Adarrio. We offer a buy two/get one free option on all six-string string sets, mix or match , acoustic and/or electric.
B.W. Lyons Guitars became a business from the need to dispose of several guitars in my cousin's estate.
The cleanest ones were sold first, then as repairs were needed on the others, the experience and knowledge of how to repair the guitars was gained. Eventually, I began repairing them, and even assembling electric guitars. I do provide a custom-built electric guitar in a variety of styles, colors, and components.
Take a look at 2011's project, a neck-through SG design, or look at the latest model P21, so named as it is guitar #21 and is all a prototype design.
P21 is a neck-through design with references to a Les Paul, an SG and a Stratocaster.
It is fitted with Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups which offer sounds from series-wired Humbuckers, P90s, single coils like a Strat, or parallel-wired Humbuckers. This makes it a versatile instrument.

General setup on acoustic or electric guitar, including setting bridge saddle(s) height(s), setting string heights at the nut, leveling and re-crowning the frets, and setting pickup heights as needed. Price will vary as to the amount of work needed. Floyd Rose-equipped instruments may have an extra charge.

Adjust for playability
Set string height at the nut and at the bridge saddles. Adjust the neck angle on a bolt-on neck guitar.
Install pickups and electronics
Replace the existing pickups with a better set, along with a better set of switches to improve the sound and tone of the guitar.
Minor finish repairs
Repair minor dings and scratches.
Fret Repair/Replace
If you need just one fret, or you need all the frets replaced, I can do that here in the shop. Or if you need the frets levelled and re-crowned, I can do that for you as well.
