Sparkling Wine
Sparkling wine has long been associated with "celebration" and rightly so! From crisp and dry to the kiss of sweetness from a sparkling Moscato d'Asti, sparkling wine always has a festive feel. Though we tend to think about sparkling wine as just a special occassion drink, it works perfectly as an apertif and is one of the most flexible and versitile wines to pair with your meal

Chardonnay
Like many wines, Chardonnay can have variations in flavor depending on where the grapes were grown. Generally speaking, Chardonnay is a dry, medium- to full-bodied wine with moderate acidity and alcohol. Its flavors range from apple and lemon to papaya and pineapple, and it also shows notes of vanilla when it's aged with oak. In Chablis and Burgundy, the minerality of the grape shines through while in the New World areas like California, the styles are more full bodied, usually with pronounced oak and sweeter fruit flavors

Riesling
Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. This aromatic wine offers primary fruit aromas of orchard fruits like nectarine, apricot, honey-crisp apple, and pear. Besides fruit, you'll often smell things like honeycomb, jasmine, or lime peel, along with a striking aroma that smells similar to petrol or petroleum wax

Merlot
Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon though with more subtly. The tannins are lighter, the structure softer, making this a wine that can be enjoyed with or without food. Pinot Noir
With this lighter style of red, Pinot Noir, red fruits are the star of the show, most often strawberry, tart cherry and raspberries. Pinot Noirs from Burgundy, the ancestral home of this grape, tend to be more earth driven than their New World counterparts. This picky grape loves warm days with cold nights, making Oregon and cooler parts of California, like Sonoma Coast, ideal locations for growing Pinot Noir in the US. Wines from Oregon have a bit more structure and express "cooler" fruits while the California-made Pinot Noirs come from warmer climates, yielding riper fruits which gives the wine a more velvety feel, expressing softer fruit and vanilla from being gently oaked

Pick Any Three Bourbons; 1/2 the Pour, 1/2 the Price
Located at the corners of Fourth and Broadway in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, The Brown Hotel is one of the most treasured landmarks in Louisville. One of the finest and most beloved, the Brown was built in 1923 at a cost of $4 million by J. Graham Brown, the hotel was a magnet for many prominent guests and celebrities during the 1920s through the 1950s. In 1971, two years after the founder passed away, The Brown closed as a hotel and later reopened as the Board of Education building.
