The BORRELLI family originally from Abruzzi, Italy arrived in the United States in the early 1900's, bringing with them a collection of family recipes which have become American favorites over the the years. Like most family chefs of Abruzzi, the Borrelli's concentrated their skills and care on perfecting the superb gastronomical specialties of this verdant region, passing on from father to son, the secrets of this ancient and refined cuisine. A tradition carried on over these many years in their specially prepared sauces, even to this day in the quaint family take-out restaurant in Escondido, in North San Diego County, California.
