Bootcamp Fitness started in 2001 by Coach Michael Rutherford (aka Coach Rut). His private training services were in high demand but there were only so many hours in a day. In an attempt to bring his fitness methods to more athletes, Coach Rut launched a group workout concept based on a functional movements, high intensity and a few training tools. His first group of athletes included eight tough-minded individuals. Within sixty days that number had tripled and the rest is became history.
In 2003 Coach Rut became the worlds 4th CrossFit affiliate and merged his Bootcamp methods with CrossFit to offer the city two different training schools. Slowly, Coach Rut brought on other high-caliber trainers and Coaches with whom he has shared his methods. His staff has continued to expand and develop.
While the type of exercise tools have evolved and now include a number of higher tech tools and protocols, the hallmark of our group training methods still includes those original elements.
Our current offerings include the above-mentioned high-energy, groups Weightlifting (Sport) , Sport Conditioning camps for young athlete, as well as private and semi-private training options. You will not find more authentic fitness options anywhere.
