Analog Screen Printing
$50.00
Jason Roy explores the fundamentals of analog screen-printing without the aid of computer or photosensitive materials. The term "archival" will be dissected, discussed, and intentionally ignored as the workshop moves on to the application of print directed towards intent, exploring the unique advantages of working with non-archival and ephemeral materials. Students will also learn simple book-making techniques and will leave with a book.
Structures for Exhibition

Students will learn structures for artist books that unfold and hang for display in a gallery environment. Rory's "Twisted hanging book" corkscrews from the ceiling to the floor. The arched hanging book curves from the ceiling to the wall for display.
Data Mining for Visual Artists
$25.00
Multimedia artist Angie Waller will demonstrate systems for generating and storing found texts and provide code samples in Excel and Python that allow participants to generate chance outcomes with their own texts.
