We are a functional strength and conditioning training center.
We are not a globo-gym with antiquated isolation machines and tanning booths. We throw medicine balls, swing kettle bells, jump on boxes, hang from bars, run, climb, leap, slam things, drag things, flip things and do Olympic weightlifting.
We accept all kinds of people at all ability levels and insist on a supportive team atmosphere.
We turn athletes into super athletes and can turn you into someone who'd laugh at the you, you are today.
Look, I'm not gonna lie to you and waste both of our time.
CrossFit is for real. Lots of people run right back to their Zumba classes or skulk back to their glamore gym to do bicep curls in the mirror. I've seen a 265 lb. body builder tear up over 16 inch box jumps and a 114 lb. mother of three put 150% of her body weight over her head for multiple reps.
Yes CrosFit is for the collegiate athletes, firefighters, Olympians and elite military forces.
But it's also for anyone looking to improve his or her strength, mobility and energy levels.
It takes a certain kind of person to enjoy something this ferocious and the people who stay might just surprise you.
You might surprise yourself.

Bio
Aaron Brounstein, Founder
I am a Portland native who first got interested in strength training with a membership at Laprenzee's Gym over 20 years ago. Three years later I got my first job as a trainer at another Portland fitness landmark, Giants Gym. In 2000 I moved to Los Angeles. Later that year I had a group of personal training clients, and I was competing in a regional Muay Thai Kickboxing League. In July of 2001 I was hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk. I suffered multiple fractured ribs, a fractured collar bone, a bruised lung, damaged ankle ligaments, and a harshly damaged knee. Not accepting the doctors predictions that I may never regain full strength or range of motion, I began to study physical therapy independently. After regaining my full physical capacity I moved my focus to strength training. Being able to fight again I joined a professional MMA team as the assistant Muay Thai and Head Strength Conditioning Coach. For the last several years I have expanded my athlete base, working with seniors as well as young children. I was the 16th person in the nation to be certified under the Child Fitness Program Youthfit and was the first Los Angeles personal trainer to work with children under 13. Twelve years after I moved to Los Angeles, I enrolled and graduated the CrossFit training and certification program. Now I work with a wide range of clients helping them work towards their individual goals.
