Perhaps the most exciting white wine varietal to come out of Italy in some time, Timarasso is quickly becoming many wine drawers Chardonnay-alternative. Until recently, very few vine remained of this ancient Piedmontese varietal until winemakers discovered the beauty and concentration possible from the grape. This example is bright straw-yellow in color with a bouquet of honey, cedar, aromatic herbs and slight notes of toasted wood. On the palate, it is complex and elegant; notes of candied lemon peel and white flowers accompany the fresh and mineral finish
