"Who wants an Orange Whip? Orange Whip? Orange Whip? Three Orange Whips!" No fruit was harmed in the making of this "Juicy" IPA. In fact, there is no "juice" in this IPA. Rather, it is a real IPA that benefits from heaps of El Dorado and Mosaic Hops which give it it's succulent aromas and flavors of orange, tangerine and grapefruit. We think this IPA predicates Juiciness! Uh, and if you don't know, now you know.
Leo V. Ursus: Adversus, IPA - Imperial / Double, 8.2% ABV, 55 IBU, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Paso Robles, CA
Prodigiously hopped yet nimbly brewed with pilsner malts, Adversus ultimately achieves the improbable: a big, bold IPA made for summertime sipping. A hard-charging blend of Pacific Northwest hops leads the way, loading the nose with notes of stone fruit, pineapple, mango and earthy pine resin. Meanwhile, the use of traditional pilsner malts adds levity and dryness to the palate, allowing for a refreshing texture through the finish. The result is a double IPA that is high on hop aromas, balanced in bitterness and perfect for the long, warm days of summer.
PC Pils (2017), Pilsner - Other, 5.5% ABV, 45 IBU, Founders Brewing Co., Grand Rapids, MI
Poperings Hommelbier, Belgian Strong Golden Ale, 7.5% ABV, 40 IBU, Brouwerij Van Eecke, 8978 Watou
Hommel is the local abbreviation of humulus, from the botanical name for the hop plant. Confusingly, it also means bumble bee in Flemish. Poperings Hommelbier is a hoppy, golden-bronze, ale. it is made from a blend of winter, summer and aromatic pale malts, at a starting density of 16 Plato; soft water, from the brewery's own well; Brewers' Gold and Hallertau hops, both grown in Poperinge; and top-fermented with a very attenuative yeast that precipitates quickly. It is primed with white sugar, and re-yeasted for bottle-conditioning. The finished beer has 7.5 per cent alcohol by volume and 40 units of bitternes, though it tastes lighter on both counts.
Space Ghost Golden Session Barleywine, Barleywine - Other, 8% ABV, 75 IBU, Ecliptic Brewing, Portland, OR
An unclassifiable phantasm, Space Ghost explodes with a panopoly of Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy,Southern Cross tropical hop flavors with a taste not unlike Melvin's famous imperial IPAs. Complex yet infinitely drinkable, Space Ghost defies all explanations.

Imperio Stout, Stout - Imperial / Double, 9.5% ABV, 58 IBU, Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom, Hood River, OR
The chill of the changing weather lends itself well to a libation hardly enough to stand up to the darker elements. Thus, we've brewed an imperial stout to comfort those cold, blustery days. Dark fruits, savory fig and raisin, chocolate, toffee, caramel, and coffee cover you like the blanket used when you need a little extra warmth and weight. Served on Nitrogen in a goblet.
Surette Provision Saison, Saison / Farmhouse Ale, 6.2% ABV, Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, Denver, CO
Brewed with traditional harvest grains, Surette is a provision Saison with a tart and vinous character from extended barrel aging.
Secret Stash #003 is a refreshing Blood Orange IPA that is 6.5% and 60 IBU's. We brewed Secret Stash #003 with Comet, Mosaic, Idaho 7, and Cascade. We didn't want to stop using hops there, so we then dry hopped it with Galaxy and Citra. Secret Stash #003 has a burnt orange/golden color, slight haze, and a white head. Subtle citrus and blood orange notes on the nose combine well with bright citrus flavors finishing with subtle bitterness. Re-fermented on blood orange puree and lighter in alcohol at 6.5% ABV, this is a refreshing IPA with a playful palate.
