Some sources say that the sandwich was originally thin sliced rib-eye marinated in pizza sauce, until Pat's put cheese on it. A real cheese steak consists of steak, real American or Provolone Cheese. It's simple and tasty.
75 years later, Benny's Cheese steaks was born. Based out of Dublin, Ohio, Benny's brings authentic cheese steaks. We try to stay true to the history using lean thin sliced steak, fresh grilled onions and American Cheese. We cook it to order and serve it on Italian bread from Amoroso's Baking Company. The bread is what makes our cheese steaks famous! You simply cannot make an authentic cheese steak sandwich without an authentic Philly roll, according to Philadelphia's. The roll must be long and thin, not fluffy or soft or too hard. You can add green peppers, mushrooms, sweet peppers, hot peppers or even olives. We'll make it any way you like it.
