The Barbara Jean’s concept is the creation of Jim and Barbara Jean Barta of St. Simons Island, Georgia. They and their family own and operate four Barbara Jean’s restaurants in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. They also oversee the franchise operation in Charleston, South Carolina. We are a “food focused” family run restaurant operation that does something that virtually no others in our price range consider. We make virtually everything from scratch, and we do that and everything else very well.
