Our group Mat classes provide a great workout with just you and your mat! Occasionally instructors will use the Pilates circles, rollers, bands, or other accessories to assist with the exercises. If you are new to Pilates, it would be best to start in the beginner class and work your way up to a more challenging class. Mat classes are not for those with physical impairments or those who need a great deal of attention with their movement. In these cases, private sessions are recommended. Our Yoga class is for all levels.
Mat classes (Spring session begins April 26th)
All classes are 1 hour unless otherwise noted. A minimum number of students (5) is required to hold class; maximum 10.

Mat Class Policies
Please try to arrive on time as it is important to warm up at the beginning of each class. There is a set system and rhythm to a mat class and the flow is broken when you are late to class.
Please gather any props you might need to use in class. We highly encourage using props to help you properly perform the movements.
After the session is over, only 4 unused classes may be carried over to the next session, as long as, you purchase your new session package. We encourage you to attend on a regular basis to avoid paying for unused classes.
Group Reformer Class
Our group Reformer classes are taught in small groups (3 to 5 students) utilizing the popular Reformer apparatus.
The 6 week session is
$10 one-time registration fee for new students
Each reformer session 6 weeks
6 classes (holiday seasons may have exceptions) Only if there is an open spot and with instructor's permission do we consider allowing a new student to join or a make-up to take place
Please get permission ahead of time for a make-up and if you know that you will miss your regular class,
please notify the instructor (or firstname.lastname@example.org) so that we will know a Reformer spot is available for another student.
You are only allowed to make up a missed class while you are currently enrolled in a session..NO exceptions!

not the one you are currently enrolled in. Other types of classes are open for make-ups.......for every Reformer class you miss, you can take 2 Mat classes or 2 Yoga classes.

Specialized Pilates one-on-one training to help you meet your individual fitness/rehab goals.
Private sessions are advisable for most individuals to begin their Pilates training. It is the best method in order to learn the Pilates principles and individual strengths and weaknesses. The various pieces of Pilates apparatus, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, Ladder Barrel, and the Avalon Arm Chair & Step Barrel are utilized during these individualized sessions. The BASI Pilates® Block System is used to insure that each client gets a well-rounded workout.

Hatha style Yoga class is on Tuesdays (7:30pm).

Balanced BODIES is a BASI Pilates® teacher training host facility, hosting Comprehensive Teacher Training courses and Mat Teacher Training, as well as Specialized Courses and programs, some for Pilates/Health Care professionals and some for the general public. Our mission at Balanced BODIES is to teach our clients the best, most intelligent movement possible to keep their bodies healthy throughout their lives!
