We offer martial arts lessons to all ages, from three years old and up.
Getting started is simple: just call our program director at 530-758-5431, send us an email, or visit us in person and set up a free orientation meeting. During the meeting, our program director will explain our system, give you a tour of our facility, and teach you a few basic techniques that will allow you to hop into class.
Not ready to start just yet?
You're welcome to drop in and watch classes. Our team members will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Cardio Kickboxing
Our Cardio Kickboxing program is designed for people who want to embrace a healthy, fitness-oriented lifestyle.
Our classes offer techniques and drills that you won't get in a regular fitness class or gym. Though we add a martial arts flair to our instruction, there are no ranks and no tests. Just an hour-long class that will challenge you to go past your limits.
Child Birthday Parties
Are you stressed trying to plan that perfect birthday party?
Want to know how to provide a fun and enjoyable, yet structured birthday party where you don't have to clean? Let us handle all of the hard work for you. We have trained instructors who work with children on a daily basis and have the experience to provide a high-quality, professional birthday party for your child.
We start by decorating our karate school for your child's birthday.
Once everyone arrives, we start with a talk about the basic principles of the martial arts. Then, we jump right into our first basic moves. The party is designed to reinforce the skills they learn through a variety of karate games and activities. By the end of the party, they are ready to break a board and use their moves in a high energy finale.

The Davis school is a place where people of all ages come together to learn the martial arts in a positive and friendly environment.
We teach the martial arts and personal self defense in a way that appeals to all people. Martial arts and personal growth go hand in hand in our program. These complement one another and personal self improvement is a major goal of each and every one of our students.
In addition to our quality martial arts program, we encourage a very social environment.
We sponsor social events for all of our students and their families, including our annual Bodega Bay Beach camping trip, BBQs, Summer Camps, social gatherings, women's self defense classes, seminars, intramural tournaments and much, much more.
The school is located in beautiful downtown Davis
There is plenty of parking, the school is easy to get to, and all of the things that make the downtown so great, like restaurants, shopping and the Farmers' Market are close at hand.
Philosophy
We pride ourselves on being what we call a "family school".
This is a term that we always use to describe our school and our program. It simply means that we welcome all people, from every aspect of our community, to come together in our school to learn the martial arts.
Our program provides for a diverse collection of people that includes both men, women, and children of all ages.
Our students are kids, mothers, fathers, college students, business owners, teachers, and professionals. Our students come from all over Davis and the surrounding areas. Their ages range from 5 to 50 and all work together toward the success of all.
For many, achieving the rank of Black Belt is the goal of a lifetime.
So often, our older students will tell you that this was something they always wanted to do but could never find quite the right environment to do it in. But, they found the right formula here in our school. The parents of our younger students will tell you of the positive impact the karate program has had on their child and how the family environment of the school has contributed to this. Parents and children are encouraged to learn the martial arts side by side. Our school has a history of families participating and training together. Many families have gone through the program and earned their Black Belts together.
It takes the support of everyone.
Nobody gets there at the expense of another. We feel that every person has something to contribute to the advancement of all the others, like a family, and we strive for a family type of environment.
