You'll begin by learning to safely ascend and descend the silks, getting yourself into position to perform. Then, you'll start on simple poses and inversions that use your own body to create a display of sensual and dazzling artistic beauty. In addition to being a unique form of dance, aerial silks practice is a fun way of staying fit, as the positions you transition through and hold build core strength and flexibility. You'll build form and power working out with stand-alone combos and heavy bag drills, learning a variety of kicks and punches in the process. This is a great way to develop your self-defense capabilities, bring out your competitive side, and shed calories and stress. This introductory trial is the perfect way to find out what this amazing sport has to offer. At the very least, it'll be good for a few kicks.
