Students will learn about Animation, Animal Drawing and Portrait and Figure Drawing. Animation: Students will explore the different types and stages of animation. Including the basic elements of design and development of a character and his surroundings. Sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. Animal Drawing: Using pastel, acrylics, colored pencils, oil pastels, scratchboard, pen and ink or oils, students will learn just how fun and easy it is to draw their favorite animals in a variety of new and exciting projects. Portrait and Figure Drawing: Students will learn the importance of proportion, measurements, shading and how these elements effect the look of the drawing.
Fine Arts Basics
Students will learn about Basic Drawing, Beginning Watercolor, Acrylic Painting and Oil Painting. Basic Drawing: Starts with the drawing fundamentals of shape, line and texture, includes use of chalk pastels, colored pencils, oil pastels and charcoal. Beginning Watercolors: Teaches techniques of painting with watercolor set-up, color mixing, texture washes, dry brush. Acrylic Painting: Instruction on techniques of painting blending, glazing, texture color mixing with acrylics. Oil Painting: Teaches techniques of painting with oils, set-up and clean-up, color mixing, scumbling dry brush, blending, glazes, blocking in color and shapes and use of texture.
Fine Arts Advanced
Students will explore and learn through Advanced Methods I and Advanced Methods II. Advanced Methods I: Exploration of different mediums, styles, and techniques. Materials: scratchboard, illustration board, charcoal, acrylics, ink, gouache, colored pencils, pencil and oil pastels. Advanced Methods II: Explores different mediums, styles, and techniques in drawing, crafts, and painting. Materials: pastels, pastel pencils, watercolor, watercolor pencils, acrylics and oils.
