There are a lot of adjectives to describe Arrowhead's layout - fun, exciting, challenging, mischievious, sinister, quaint, but never boring!
Although Arrowhead has conquered many unsuspecting golfers who brush it off at first glance, it is accessible for skill levels of all kinds and for golfers who play the game not only with their clubs but their mind as well. In order to score well, you'll need to know when to put the driver away and you'll be required to be precise with your approach shot to reach the greens in regulation. If you're willing to do that, the course will reward you with ample opportunity to score well.
We host many golf events that allow Arrowhead to stand out among its peers.
Arrowhead is the home to the Arrowhead Tour Championship (The ATC), a series of events unlike anything you have experienced. Arrowhead is also home of two of the Grand Rapids Area's longest running and most successful course sponsored fund raisers, The J-Dawg Open, and The Hope for My Sister Golf Benefit for Cystic Fibrosis. In addition, Arrowhead's Weekly Scrambles such as The Wednesday Scramble, The Tuesday Night Ladies Scramble and The Friday Night Couples Scramble are a must for any golfer looking for a great time out on the course.
Arrowhead has also become a go-to course when it comes to golf outings in the Grand Rapids Area.
A staff dedicated to making the golf outing planner's job as easy as possible is a big reason why over 70 golf outings choose Arrowhead over the 37 other golf courses in the Grand Rapids Area each season.
Arrowhead truly offers something for everyone, as it boasts one of the largest and best Junior Programs in all of Grand Rapids.
The course hosts a Junior League and Teen League, which each summer has offered over 120 junior golfers the opportunity to grow a love for the game.

A "Hole" heckuvalottaphun!
Arrowhead hosted their first Big Hole Tournament in the Fall of 2005, since then it has become one of the area's most popular tournaments. Based on the initial tournament's success, a second Big Hole Tournament was added in the Spring of 2006. The popularity of the annual tournaments eventually led to the creation of the A.T.C. The tournament appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The intrigue of the tournament is that the greens are set up with 8 INCH HOLES (approximately the size of a coffee can). In addition, the dynamic and challenging greens of Arrowhead naturally give the format an added twist. The Spring Big Hole Tournament is the first event of the A.T.C. When: Sunday, April 27th 1:00 PM. Includes: 18 holes w/ cart, prize money, food and prizes.
"3 the Hard Way". The newest addition and the second event of the A.T.C.! Three person teams compete in an event where all 18 holes are decked out as par 3's! A Texas Sized Shoot-Out!
The Texas 6-Person Shoot-Out has become a mainstay at Arrowhead and a favorite event for many. Quite simply, the tournament is a six person scramble. Thanks to brutal pin placements (hey, you have six shots at it) and the quick green speeds set for this tournament, scores have not been as low as one might think. The Texas 6-Person Shoot-Out is the second event of the A.T.C.and begins to separate the contenders from the pretenders in the A.T.C. standings. A Texas Sized Shoot-Out! Includes: 18 Holes, Cart, food, prizes and fun!
Skill needed with a little luck along the way! The format is an 18 hole, four person scramble but only nine randomly selected holes will be used to keep score. The best score on the randomly selected nine holes wins the tournament. Have a blow up hole? Let's hope that hole isn't selected. Have a great hole? Keep your fingers crossed, that might be the hole that puts you in the winner's circle. When: July 13th, 1:00 Shotgun start. Includes: 18 holes, cart and prize money.
Glow Ball Open
The GlowBall Open is unlike any other golf event out there. A four person scramble with nine holes being played in the late afternoon and nine holes at night! The evening portion of the tournament is played with glow-in-the-dark golf balls while the course is lined with various glow sticks and candle bags. Every golfer needs to experience this tournament at least once in their lifetime. This fills up quicker than any other tournament we host and space is very limited. Cystic Fibrosis Golf Outing
The Hope for My Sister golf outing benefits Cystic Fibrosis research. Cystic fibrosis (CF) affects more than 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Worldwide it affects 70,000 people. This, of course, does not take into account family and friends, whose lives are also deeply affected by this disease. CF is a hereditary disease, which means it runs in families. It’s an ongoing, progressive disease, which means it continues to get worse over time. CF is a genetic disorder that mainly impacts the lungs and the digestive system.
