Discovery of this architectural anomaly along the Hudson river in Edgewater, New Jersey continues to stir speculation in academic circles and among the public in general.
The edifice, unearthed from the cliffs of the Palisades, in the old Shadyside section of town has eluded all efforts at identifying it's origin. In addition it is rumored that squelched the results of carbon dating due to it's heretical implications.
"Clearly we are undermining conventional opinion with this unearthing", says discoverer and lead restorer Warren Sonberg. "All our assumptions as to our origin are turned upside down. We cannot catalogue this structure with any previously discovered ruin. It's an enigma shrouded with more questions than answers."
"What I can say," continues Mr. Sonberg, "is that this may be a time capsule from earths most distant past, or a future yet to come. I see it as a seed of possibility dropped here to point away from that distant beginning. The imagery within offers a bridge between matriarchal and patriarchal beliefs. It is an archetypal moment of magic and mystery. A gift from the creator to those travelers who need sanctuary from the cares of the day and sustenance of the moment."
