BJJ utilizes a combination of hip-takedowns and throws that turn your assailant's momentum against them to ensure that, no matter the size-difference, you'll be in a position take your opponent to the ground. You'll practice an arsenal of techniques designed to win the ground game, including chokes and joint locks meant to immobilize. You'll receive instruction from a martial artist trained in the discipline. Your instructor will focus on the fundamentals and teach you how to apply those techniques during live sparring sessions.
