For the health-minded, a bread loaded with the fibers and flavor of whole-wheat flour. This recipe includes local honey from Barbell Bee Ranch, a touch of brown sugar, and a small amount of canola oil that makes for a smooth texture and extends the freshness of this loaf in high demand. (Our second most requested bread, next to our Classic French).
A take on the Classic French with a different flavoring each day (Garlic Parmesan, Herb Cheddar, Three Pepper, Cranberry Walnut, etc). Like the Classic, a great complement to our sandwiches, salads and daily-made soups with the added benefit of its own unique flavoring.
A recently renovated recipe for light blonde sourdough made with a starter culture that we have developed ourselves from local ingredients.
This truly unique bread was developed from an original Russian pumpernickel recipe. We've personalized this recipe a bit resulting in a beautiful bread consisting of high quality ingredients including Duluth's own Bent Paddle Brewing Co. Black Ale and dark roast Alakef coffee, BarBell Bee Ranch honey, molasses, bran and dried cranberries. Modified through trial and error through the years - perfected, sought after and delectable.
Red Pepper Foccacia
Our Red Pepper Foccacia is made with roasted sweet red peppers, herbs, fresh mozzarella and most markedly, quality olive oil. Smooth and rich, it pairs excellently with our Tomato Bisque soup (or any soup, for that matter).
Two pounds per loaf of rich, luscious and soft bread. A staple made daily, the Classic French has been found on our shelves and menu since opening our doors in 1995. It is a perfect accompaniment to soups and salads as well as our customer's preferred foundation for our delicious sandwiches. A must for or famous French toast!
