Dog Day Care
There’s nothing more enjoyable than watching dogs playing and having the time of their lives, unless you’re a dog, of course. Our daycare facility is all about your dog’s needs. We have designed a 7,100 square feet doggie haven to accommodate your dog’s size and temperament; they can socialize in a friendly, safe manner. We understand that proper socialization with other friendly dogs and people is the best gift we can give our dogs. These are also great tools to offset common behavior problems that normally stem from boredom. Our staff is trained to work with dogs based on their individual personalities. They will be slowly introduced at their own comfort level if they are shy or newcomers. Our daycare offers:
Web cams that allow you watch from your computer. You can witness them develop new friendships with other nice dogs and people
five open play areas with specialized rubber flooring, play equipment and activities to stimulate them mentally and physically
grouping your dog with compatible play buddies based on temperament, size and age
an outdoor potty area to keep your dog on a good housetraining track
supervised by a trained staff member to ensure they have an enjoyable, safe visit
reasonable rates if you have one dog or multiple dogs and flexible hours to accommodate your busy schedule
Overnight Care
If you’re like us, there have been times when you opted not go on an overnight trip or travel because you didn’t feel comfortable leaving your canine kid behind. We know this because we’ve been in your shoes. That’s why Alfie’s Poochie Playlot has put a lot of care and consideration into our overnight facility. You and your dog can choose from two separate overnight lofts to best serve your dog’s sleeping preference:
Individual suites that vary in size and some can accommodate two doggies who prefer to stay together from the same family
An open cage free slumber room where your canine kid can sleep on doggie beds just like home
All night supervision with a trained staff member to ensure they have an enjoyable, safe visit
Day time fun with other doggies who are with us for day care
Web cams that allow you to log on and watch your dog play with their new friends
Playlot Rules
In order to keep Alfie’s Poochie Playlot a fun and safe environment for your pet, all dogs must meet the following requirements:
Temperament Evaluation
All new dogs must pass an onsite temperament evaluation prior to scheduling daycare and boarding visits. Since all dogs are off leash in the respective play areas, aggressive dogs are not accepted. Temperament evaluations are conducted by appointment and only and can be scheduled any weekday and Saturdays
Current Vaccinations
All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations: DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough), Fecal test with negative result
Flea/Tick Control
Your dog must be on a veterinarian-approved form of topical flea control all year round. Acceptable products are: Frontline or Frontline Plus, Advantage or K-9 Advantage, Revolution
Heartworm Control
Your dog must be on a veterinarian-approved form of heartworm control
Spayed/ Neutered
All dogs must be spayed or neutered if older then 9 months
Age Requirement
All dogs must be at least four months old of age and have completed all of their puppy vaccination series
Grooming (Bath, Brush)
For your first time visit to our grooming facility, please bring a copy of all vaccinations (including Bordetella) for your dog. Each year your dog is updated on its vaccinations, please bring in a copy for our records. This is for the safety of your own dog, as well as our daycare dogs.
